Hello All - Purchased a 2012 SLK 250 three weeks ago. Since the second day of owning car it will initially start but once I put it in gear it dies, then will not restart for close to five minutes. When I try to turn it over all electronics, etc come on, however the car will not start - or turn over. I dropped the car off at the shop last week and they were able to replicate the issue, however they have no clue how to fix. Anyone have any ideas?? I have two keys and have tried both as I thought it may be the key, but no difference.

Has the purity of the fuel been checked? One bad tank of contaminated gas will do this. I would take vehicle to dealership, drop it off....."I do not feel safe in this car." Can you spell "unwind?"
