Brake job DIY
Hello everyone,
I am upgrading my brakes to carbon ceramic pads and while I'm at it I am going to paint the calipers. I've done a number of brake pad replacements on various vehicles so i'm comfortable with the install and I've researched it online so i'm good to go - but I like to be overly cautious when it comes to my ride, so if anyone here has done their own brakes and has any input/conventional wisdom to offer i'm all ears. I'm familiar with going into the service menu and putting the brake system into the service position before starting. I'd just like an idea of what to expect.
Thanks,
Chef

I’m going to replace the front brake pads with ones that make less dust. Any diy or help would be appreciated.

Brakes are no big deal the only thing that is different on these cars is the sensor that tells you when the pads are low.
the sensor wire just slips into a hole on the top of the pad.
If the cars brake light is on because the pad surface is low, those sensors need to be changed, they are not expensive but only buy new if you really need them.
Otherwise its a straight forward pad change just like you would do on any other car.
