Backup Camera on SLK?
Was a backup camera a standard feature on 2014-2016 SLKs?
My impression is that it was included only in the most expensive premium pkg option (P2/P3?).
I'm searching the net for a used/CPO SLK to buy soon.

I do not know if it was standard on the R172. I have seen a couple of them with it thou. If it does not have one I am sure you can have a shop install one for very cheap.

Just as a follow-up for folks visiting in the future.
To see if your car is easily compatible, there is a quick test.
For my 2016 SLK, I went into engineering mode in the head unit. Activated the reverse camera input selection. (There are some write-ups on how to do this around). After doing this, waiting one or 2 times of turning the car on and off, when you put the car in reverse, the screen goes dark, and it says, "Check entire surroundings".
If you get this, all you need to do is buy a camera, run the wires from camera to back of head unit and plug the wire into the green FAKRA connector. If you don't get the check entire surroundings, may be more difficult to do. I initially purchased the wrong camera type, and was black and white and not good.
I just mounted mine by drilling a hole to the side of the trunk latch, in the plastic part of the trunk latch, not into the metal of the car. Ran power from a relay which is initiated by the reverse lights getting power.
Overall, not too challenging and a great inexpensive addition.
Yes, the SLK is short, with pretty good visibility, but the back is wide and can be challenging to see and gauge distance in the back.
