My SLK has developed a wierd intermittent problem. After locking the car with the keyless fob, occasionally I come back to the car to find the wipers stuck at half sweep, the mirrors no longer lucked away, the car still locked and I unable to unlock with the keyless fob. I have to unlock with the key. Everything resets when the car is started. If left unlocked sometimes I later find the wipers at half sweep and the radio on. My dealer has identified a P180149 fault code for the overhead control panel. The difficulty is they report the “first step of repair is to replace panel and recheck.” So if it doesn’t fix the issue I still have a problem and I’m $2000 out of pocket.
Has anyone had this issue and how was it resolved?
