2013 SLK 350
2013 SLK 350 Sunroof
I have the SLK 350 with magic sky control. The outside is glass and I can see the sunroof. The inside seems to have a plastic or vinyl shade (not a headliner) blocking the sunroof. It is solid from door to door and front to back. It is form fitted and looks nice. How do i remove this and expose the sunroof glass? I don't find anything in the owners manual about its removal only the magic sky operation

am replying although this is months later :-)
The roof you describe is the standard SLK roof. At a point they weren't glass roofs on the outside but owing to an issue MB changed all roofs to have glass on the outside. The standard one would have the fixed form fitting liner. It is not designed to be removed (although it looks like it should).
Cars with magic sky control do not have this liner and the interior finish of the roof (molding) is different and you can see through the roof from when sitting inside the car, MSC just sends an electro charge through the glass to be either opaque or clear.
