SLK/R172: Car won't start, new battery, won't take charge

Car won't start, new battery, won't take charge
Hey guys . . . I have a 2018 AMG SLC 43 . . . When I turned off my car on Friday, I noticed something strange. The message "Don't forget to take your keys" didn't come on. I had sat in the car a couple minutes after shutting it off. Today the car won't start. I attempted to charge the battery thinking that was the issue, but it won't take a charge. Battery was purchased December 3rd. It gets maybe halfway through and then fails. I noticed while charging that the left turn signal is partially on and the right driving light is on. Even with a partial charge nothing works. It won't even quick start (Using battery charger to start the car). I suspect a computer issue. Car is under warranty so have contacted service but they haven't gotten back to me yet.
Any ideas???

Could also be a blown fuse (check those first)
Alternatively get Mercedes mobile assist to come out if still under warranty.

Unplug your negative terminal for 30 minutes to restart the computer, reconnect and try again. I believe this is a known issue that causes battery drain after this happens.

All good now and the car is performing once again at peak level.
Although I didn't think it was fair for this Forum to place my post in the SLK feeds since this is nothing like the SLK. I had one. I know it's not the same. (Rant over)

I was about to pull the trigger on a 2022 GLE 450 for November delivery. Dealer said the camera and augmented reality were unavailable for order. After reading about all of the 48v battery problems, I think I'll keep my 2018 GLE 550E for another year. Maybe the 2022's will fix the battery problems.
