2014 SLK 250 Command not working
Hello,
I was driving when I noticed my radio turn on and off on my 2015 SLK 250. It eventually turned off and has not come back on since. I tried changing the fuse on the back of the command, checked the fuse box in the front and back but nothing seemed off. I disconnected the battery and even tried holding the disk button for 10 seconds hoping it would reset. Tonight I noticed that the “ON” button lights up then turns on then lights up again. However, the screen and radio still do not work. I checked my dash and in the phone and music section it shows “_ _ _”. Everything I’ve checked online so far talks about having Mercedes’ replace it for a new one which is anywhere between $3-$5 thousand. Does anyone have another suggestion or know of where I could send my command to for repairs? I have not had Mercedes’ run a diagnostic as everything points to the command not working. I thought about replacing it with an after market part but I am not sure how that would work with my heated seats and air scarf buttons. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am not very car savvy.

If you change it, a used radio can be installed but you will need to do an anti-theft unlock and then do proper coding. If you need any remote assistance I can help you out but you will need a C4 or a J2534 device. Run your VIN number through EPC and it will give you a list of radios that will fit your car and you can find the latest part number.
