SLK32 ESP System
Hi Guys,
Can anyone explain to me if there is a relation between the ESP system and the Kompressor on the SLK32? Does the ESP system have the ability to shut down the kompressor? Here is my situation:
1. With the ESP ON, If you tryo to skid sometimes, the ESP will frantically kick in to try to control the car. After that the kompressor will not work (if I try to step on the gas). I have to turn the car off and then back on, and the kompressor will work again.
2. With the ESP off, nothing will happen and the Kompressor will always work.
Do you think there is a relation?
Just as a background. My car used to be an SLK320, I changed the engine, tranny and diff. and reflased the ECU and the transmission computer (EGS) with appropriate SCNs. I also have 18inch 225 (Toyo) on both the front and back.

Hi Guys,
new to the Form,
long story short:
2002 SLK 32 AMG
being used as a donor car for a Gullwing kit
was running fine yesterday.
I think i cut one too many wires and all of a sudden i have the ESP/BAP check engine light on, Car is in limp mode.
I’m gong to purchase an OBD reader to see if i can possibly see if it will give some clues on what data is missing.
meanwhile, any recommendations on shops that do mercedes swaps and sell chassis harnesses to make them run in other cars?
