Mobil 1 Viscosity for 3.2 Kompressor engine
Hi guys,
I left a post over on the 203 side hpoping another C32 person could tell me what the Mobil 1 viscosity is for the engine but I'm just getting views and no replies. Someone knowledgeable on the 3.2 Kompressor engine hereabouts know?
I live in the SF Bay Area for climatic adjustment.
Thanks!

They may be able to help you. A number of C32 owners here to help you. Good luck. Depends on where you live to determine whats best but 10W 30 or 40 is probably fine especially if you change it regularly. Try www.C32life.com.
MBUSA recommends only 2 viscosities of Mobil 1 for ALL new M-B engines. They are 0W-40 (not available in retail stores in the USA) and 15W-50 (not appropriate for temperatures below 15 degrees F).
I did an oil change in my SLK32 at 1000 miles and used Mobil 1 5W-30. My dealer in Arizona uses Mobil 1 15W-50 on all AMG cars. I _may_ switch to 15W-50 when I change it again at 5000 miles, because I want to see if the thicker oil will help with the valve train noise in the 3.2L Kompressor engine.
If you can't find Mobil 1 0W-40, I suggest 0W-30 or 5W-30. Use 15W-50 only if you live in a warm climate.
