i'm looking to buy some pirelli p-zero's, and i'm wondering, anyone know if these are tough against potholes?

anyone know of a tire which performs well, AND helps prevent wheel-damage?

just bought some beautiful forged wheels, and i would like to protect my investment!

I'm not sure its a matter of the tire so much.... I think what psi your running in the tires and the profile of the tire have much more to do with it..... for example, a 35 and 30 setup would fair you much better for potholes than a 30 and 25 setup, no matter what the tire..... and I always run a high psi (~40 psi all the way around) just for that very reason.... helps protect the rim..... Got 20X9 and 20X10 with the 35 and 30 setup running 40 psi and roads here are definitely not the best, and although I am extremely careful, I'm not perfect, but have had no issues since running this setup..... further, I think the type/construction of the rim is also a huge factor..... a better made/stronger rim (which it sounds like you have by the way) should fair better than cheaper made ones.... didn't really answer your question, but just my thoughts
