Dual Filter Dual Chamber Air Intake System For SLK 320,Etc
I don't know how crazy you all are about getting more HP and Torque out of you cars. I'm new to the Forum, and just like you I'm on the constant quest for new parts for my SLK 320. Actually I have the new Crossfire coupe. I hope I will be considered as an equal. I'm not a "wanna be" Mercedes owner, actually I fell into it after finding out that my Crossfire, was about 60% of a Mercedes SLK 320. I thought hey cool, something different. I'll give it a try. I love the car, it really is a lot of fun to drive. There was one big problem I didn't know about though. There are so very few aftermarket parts for these cars, let alone having these parts, not be in the ,000.00 Catagory. It pissed me off enough to do someting about it. I have spent over a year now, doing R&D on air intake systems. I know our cars, and other models, have a twin filter system stock. So in the spirit of Mercedes Engineering, I have been dedicated to the development of a real Dual Cold Air Intake. No the kind with one chamber, with two filters on the end. My systyem has been built with 100% of the German engineering in mind. So the concept is that of the stock set up. Two Air Filters, Two inlets, all coming together into one manifold. Sounds so easy when writen out like that. It has actually been one of the most painful, frustrating thing's that I have ever done. That's why it is my absolute biggest accomplishment as of yet.
I don't know how this forum feels about air induction. I don't want to push anything out there that might have been voted off the Island earlier, if you Know what I mean.
Does any of this sound like something that, any of you might be interested in? If you do have an interest on my (ASK Racing) Dual Cold Air Intake system, you can email me ,or send a PM, or even just post it on the forum. I will gladly answer any and all question you may have.
Thanks Guys, and Gals.

Really like the pop up door conversion, was looking into this myself, now that I have seen someone else do it on an SLK I am convinced it is worth it.
Did you do the conversion yourself or how much did it cost to get someone to fit it for you or does it need to be done by a specialist?
I want to change my grill also, I really like the look of the CLK grill on Steve's SLK and I really like the 18" Brabus V alloys on Kenny's car, I think I am going to upgrade all 3.
I already have it booked in for the interior updating, changing the dark walnut console for aluminium and reupholstering the seats to remove the fluting on the inserts, I think the fluting on the seats makes it look dated, the new SLK has a flat panel which is split down the middle, looks a lot better.
I will post some pics once the full conversion is complete + DMS autos are doing some work on the engine to boost it up to 450bhp and 420lb torque.
