I've never used any aftermarket setups, but I really like how this is integrated to the OEM system. Also, the button converts to one touch, and you can raise/lower the roof up to 30mph, those 2 features are even better than the remote top/up feature.

I used to have aftermarket alarm systerm for my E46M3cab on both one touch top open/close and radar protection because there are nothing on the market that can tap into BM's OEM systerm, but now I really would like to give it a try. you should know how slow the SLK's top open/close. one set of light wouldn't have enough time for this operation.
