SLK32 car start problem
Hi fellow forum members!
I have a problem with a 2003 SLK32 AMG. As I go to the car, the remote is unresponsive. When I open it with the key, this is what happens when I attempt to start the car:

it would seem your key is not being recognized. The fault is likely in the key since both your RF connection to the car (ability to lock/unlock with remote) and the transponder (coil around ignition switch that recognizes key) seem to be non-functional.
Have you tried the other key ? I don't recall ever having this problem, but if I did I would.
try the other key
if you dont have one,
change battery in "bad" key
and/or consult the owners handbook for re-familiarizing your key (some routine that includes pushing one of the buttons while the key is inserted and turned to a certain position comes to mind)
