2003 SLK32 AMG roof problem
There are two roughly triangular flaps that are in the up position when the roof is up, and are pulled down and trapped by the trunk lid when roof is retracted.
The flap on the passenger side seems to have lost its connection that controls its up position and pulls it down. It springs up behind the headrest and does not pull down. Have to guide/hold it by hand.
Any ideas for repair ? Stopped by local dealer (20 miles away) but they wanted me to bring it in for inspection, pre-pay for any required parts to be ordered, and return for installation. I'd like to have an idea of what is involved before doing so.
