Transmission query
Hi all,
I have a 2002 SLK 32 with just over 20K on the clock, and recently I have what I think are problems with the transmission. It is not a serious symptom, but when driving in traffic queues (say 10 - 20 MPH), the up shifting is really lumpy. I think it is going from second to third gear, where the car almost lurches from one gear to the next, and it is bugging me really bad. It seems to happen when the car has had a chance to warm up. The rest of the time the 'box is fine, and I don't have problems with acceleration or using Tiptronic. As usual, when I tried to demo the problem to the tech at MB nothing happened, and they think I am making it up. Has anyone else experienced this kind of thing before, or am I going insane???

I have same problem/feeling just like you. It happens especially when the transmission shift from first to 2nd gear or 3rd gear. Sometimes it happens when I shift from N to D. Sorry I don't have the answer. I hope someone can help us out.
