Anyone know of a way to totally defeat the traction control?

You might find some useful info from the crossfire crowd as there are more of them modding (the SRT6 which is essentially an slk32) than R170 owners (though I think this particular system was changed starting with the 2nd year of crossfires).


On my own SLK32s , I have run an add-on that I created that automatically pulses the traction control defeat button each time I start the car 9turning partially off) AND inverts the drive signal for the yellow triangle (this way the triangle still flashes when there is a total traction loss, but is normally OFF). While my solution does nothing more than you can do by pushing the button, it has satisficed my needs.

More aggressive interventions to the ESP seems to defeat the ABS, so I have not looked further.
But I look forward to hearing what you come up with.
