Pics
Here's some pics of the new ride. The color is Obsidian. Too bad the sky was overcast, this is as bright as it got all weekend here in New Jersey. If it were sunny, the color rendition in these photos would have no doubt been better. It's hard to tell the difference in these pics between Obsidian and standard black, but in person the difference is very obvious, even on an overcast day. The color swatches (both exterior and interior) provided in the SLK brochure proved to be right on the money.

Great car - shame about the mesh net
Great looking car. I think a black merc is still better than a silver one. Although it is really gutting that with such an amazing car they have a rubbish mesh net as a wind deflector.

Thanks, Neil. Yes, I'm thinking that the mesh has got to go in favor of plexiglass or glass. But it does do the job intended. Rearward visibility with the mesh on and even with the top up is fine during the day, but I beleive I've read here that it hurts visibility at night...have not tried that yet.

You're not from Holmdel, NJ, are you? Pictures of houses look really familiar. Around Takolusa Drive? Anyway, AMAZING car!

SLK230K R170 modded by Carlsson
Hello forget about the mesh, you need a Carlsson wind deflector made of safety glass and a set of stainless-steel rolover bars...and your car will have a completely new (and nicer) look:
