Rearview Mirror
My SLK 55 came with a rearview mirror with a "flip" knob on the bottom for day/ night viewing. Yet the MB book says the SLK 55 is standard with auto-dimming reaview mirror. WHAT TYPE REARVIEW MIRROR DID YOU OTHER MEN GET IN YOUR CAR?? Does the mirror have a switch for day/night driving--or is it totally automatic??? Thanks

I am located in New Jersey. My car was one of the first SLK55's built--build date July,2004. I am starting to think many of the standard SLK55 parts were not ready by that build date--so they equiped the car with what they had--example ( my car does NOT have power seats or power steering column) plus it came with 600 test miles on it from AMG (honest--signed AMG form and all). After receiving your note that your mirror is automatic--I called the dealer and they said they would get me a new mirror--THANK YOU.

Yeah, being the first one might cause that. I'm still pretty suprised by the "little" things that the VPC don't catch. You would think a 60+k AMG would get a bit more attention.
