FYI. MP3 DVD playback

Just read through the COMMAND manual and it does give details on MP3 playback using a CD-R in the single slot in dash CD player.

It gives no detail on DVD MP3 playback. But it does work. The 6 disc changer seems useless now.

Just figured that some people may not know of the hidden capability of our COMMAND units.

Cheers,

Vincent

Nope

The IPOD integration kit is another animal. In fact, the IPOD integration kit seems less attractive now. I squeezed about 800 MP3's onto a DVD-r and it worked great.

I drive a E55T, SLK55 and 65 Mustang Conv.
It's funny you say that as I was thinking the same thing about my Ipod. I am burning an mp3 for my son to listen to while he's in my car as we speak. It'll fit about 10 whole cd's in 1 cd-r. I don't have a dvd burner yet

If MP3 on DVD works on the Command, you can surely burn 10+ x 6 ~ say 70+ Audio Cds onto a DVD-R Disc. Try it an let us know.
