Over on the SL55 forum, there is a thread titled "AMG Performance Package confirmed" that basically says this will be an option on the SL55 in model year 2006. At the bottom of this page, someone says that it will also be available for the SLK55 and CLS55. For the SL55, it's a pretty expensive option as they are saying it will be around $11K or so.

Does anyone have any information on this for the SLK55?

Yes, there will be a SLK performance package for next year. Different brakes, suspension, steering wheel and 19" AMG wheels. What other info are you looking for? When will your car be here?

Thanks for the info. Any idea on pricing? Seems like $11.4k for the SL55 and I'm hearing $9.6k for the CLS55. I figure around $7-8k for the SLK55?

My car is supposedly on the water somewhere. My dealer informed me that it should arrive at VPC sometime around June 13 and than arrive here sometime the week after. I think Dan's car is on the same boat. We've both tried tracking it with our VIN number's and it keeps coming back with no information.

Congrats on your grand opening coming up. Not sure if I'll be able to make it but will look forward to seeing your locations soon.

If the PP is priced anywhere under USD15K, it is a steal anyway. 'Cause if you add up all the parts offered in the PP and try to buy them as stand alone items, it will be over 20K.

Guys - I've driven the SLK55 pretty hard and was just wondering how necessary bigger brakes and wheels are on this car?

340mm 6-pot composites. Brakes at 10.7ms2.
