Pre-Painted Reflectors

Do you guys happen to know if these pre-painted reflectors still protrude out of the car? Or is it the same level as the bumper?

Why don't you just get the euro bumper strip insert.

Oh, I've heard of those before. Do you happen to know where I can order them?

You can drop this person an e-mail, how to get the euro-bumper strip insert. Scroll down to the last picture.

Reply from Steve

So, I emailed the guy from MBenzNL.com and he responded with the following:

"The R171 SLK does not have separate bumperstrips...it has a bumper
cover
with integrated strips so in order to get rid of the sidemarkers, you
will
have to swap the complete bumperskin...

***please leave the string of mails attached in your reply***

greetingz from the Netherlands,

I guess this means our only alternatives are to replace the complete "bumperskin," use the pre-painted reflectors, or have them smoked from a euro tuning shop. I'm going to try smoking the reflectors from a local euro tuning shop. I'll post some pics once it's been completed. I hope it turns out well.
