slk55 2006 355 hp vs 2005 362hp
Does anyone know why the 2006 hp ratings were reduced to 355hp in the official brochures. Was there actually a change in the engine, or was this a simple conservative restatement of the figures? Everything else looks to be exactly the same in the spec.

Regardless, the SLK55 has always been 355hp in US. Some of the reviews picked up the 362 number early on from the MB european marketing literature, that added to the confusion.

Go dyno the car 
When the E55 came out they made the HP lower for marketing reasons but the HP is the same as the SL,CL,S when you put in on a dyno.
