Handling with the 030 is better because the brakes are about 20% lighter than normal.

The suspension is great!! Feel firm but not rough. Very direct connection b/t steering wheel and actual car response. Unfortunally I can't floor it yet and haven't take it to the trak....yet! All I can say is that the Nurburgring suspension is great!

Another point is that I never tried the "regular" SLK55 so have direct comparison....sorry!

As I said, I'll post detail pics later....including the steering wheel. It's just that my camera seem to not "treat" the colors and shades correctly!

Pics soon!

Only one of them is going to dealer stock. (Barrington, IL) All the rest are special orders.

One initial question if you have the time to answer, questionable now that you have your car, but I only count 6 pieces of CF in your pictures, assuming there are three pieces on each door. Aren't there 7 separate CF items? Is one of them the shift lever? How about a few more photos. How about a few close-ups of the different pieces?

BTW, those wheels are awesome! So are the rollbars. Did you have them installed at your dealer?

Now, to mention the driveability. With the racing suspension, is the body low enough to risk damage during routine driving on ordinary pavements? Does it have a PowerChip ECU upgrade? Do you have any regrets now that you have the car??? You are one lucky dog!!
Well....by popular demand....here they are.....but these are the "no good" pics...since they don't look that good. I promise more pics with good quality later!!!

See steering wheel, E brake CF and other CF parts and a little bit of the brake pedals!

Yes...I got them installed at the dealer.

No powerchip ecu upgrade....I think what they do is "delimit" the Vmax to 176 MPH!!

The suspension is firmer, I don't beleive it is lower.....again I can't compare since haven't driven a "regular" SLK 55. But.....way much better than the C32!!

and no risk of damage....regular daily driving is perfectly fine!

Is it possible to buy the 030 computer with higher top speed and swap it for the basic computer in a vanilla slk55amg?
I would imagine this would be a lot cheaper than the Renntech or kleemann upgrade?
Has anyone driven both 030 and normal slk55amg to determine if the mods are worth the money?
I am thinking of giving my wife my slk55amg and trading her sc430 for an slk55amg with the 030 package for myself

I personally haven't driven any other SLK 55's so I can't compare. Plus, haven't taken mine to the track to check the suspension either.

I think the Renntech and Kleemann ECU's do actually add power gains not only higher MPH limit. Don't know about the "swaping" but I guess it's possible.

First....Don't apologize for your english....not too many people around here know 2 languages!

Let me see if I can answer them separetly:

"for the interior ,and seats we have the same leather choice than the stock car ?"
As far as I know....yes. The only thing different about the interior is the 7 piece carbon fiber trim and the alcantara steering wheel.

"030 option is not a different finition with alcantara?"

Don't know what you mean by this.....but the seats....ALL come with alcantara sides (on the upper portion)

"if you have pics of your seats it would be great.nice pics or not ,that's not the problem ,but quickly if you can ,because i want to order my car and delay is so long."

See pics below...

"for shocks the 030 kit is not too low ???coud you take a measurement beetween the floor and the dow lip of the bumper."

Too low is relative. Plus keep in mind that no matter how "low" MB wants the car, here in the US there are goverment specifications that they need to follow if they want the car exported to the US. So, it maybe a different height in Europe/Rusia than here. As a matter of fact, I do know that the Euro Spec C32 was lower than the US one....so, I assume this may also be the case in Europe/Rusia
Here are the mesurements (with pics):

a) from floor to lower most part of the front bumper (black plastic portion) is 4.75"

b) From front fender to center hub (the center of MB star) on the wheel : 13.75"

b) rear fender to center of wheel : 14.125"

You can make the conversion to cm's

Hopefully someone here with a non-030 SLK55 can also take measurements to compare....I presume they will be the same if not.... very close (at least in the US)

Thanks

JMC

Nice

Sweet ride. Never really saw it in white.

Do you think you could take a picture of the i-pod integration kit? Like, how it looks when you open your glove compartment.

Thanks, and congrats again!

Juan,

Your new car looks awesome. Norm told me you were getting one but I didn't know about the performance package. Very sweet!

I still have the C32 but also added a 2006 Porsche Boxster S with all the perfomance options except the $8k ceramic brakes. I'm enjoying as much as you seem to enjoy the SLK55.

Take care,

Carl
