ESP Warning

ESP Warning
Help! I just got my SLK 55 AMG back from the first (1000 mile) service visit. I used the Sport Mode with the steering wheel paddles for the first time the day I got the car back. It worked well! Awesome experience to finally use the paddles!
But the next day, I got a warning in the in-dash computer: (paraphrasing) "ESP deactivated, go to workshsop." The ability to use the Sport Mode and the Cruise Control is now gone. I called the dealership and they are going to look at it on Monday. They think its a minor problem that has to do with the diagnostics they did during the first service they did. But I wanted to pose this problem to all of you guys and am curious if anyone else has had this problem and/or any input on this. By the way, the car runs great, but I just cant run it manually or with cruise control and the warning sign comes on everytime I crank up the car.
