Navigation System Question
My 06 SLK55AMG came with the Nav system pre-wired. What does this actually mean? If i now want the Nav system, do i have to purchase a DVD type disk, or is there more to it?
If it is only a DVD type disk, does anyone know where i can purchase this outside of MB?
Has anyone already done this upgrade?
Does anyone know the costs involved?

Kit, CAR NAVIGATION (SLK-Class) - B6 782 3548
Liner panel, trunk UT - A 171 693 04 91 9E30
DVD-ROM - BQ 646 0206
The cost is about $1,800 for the parts and one hour install charge. The car must be programmed using the Star Diagnosis system, so I’m not sure you can do it yourself. It's a dealer install but the labor is the least costly part of the upgrade.
