Does A/C shut off under aggressive driving?

Couldn't find anything here or in the manual. I have had cars in the past that you could leave a/c on all the time and it would only run when needed(ie when needed to cool the car) and would shutoff when it detected full load acceleration. Does the SLK do that? Or when racing/canyon bangin should i turn it off?

A/C during hard running

I think the A/C only shuts off when then engine ie. coolant temperature gets too hot. However, turning off the A/C while driving sporty will give the engine a tad more power than with the A/C engaged, especially on hotter days or at the track.

So, I am not the only one imagining things! That is what the service department has been saying to me repeatedly.

The funny thing is, that right now the temperature outside is below 10C (50F)!
