Went out to my SLK55 today and noticed that someone had pryed off the spoiler. Must have happened last night when I was parked outside a restaurant Didn't notice it until today. Took it to the dealer to find out what it would cost to replace. Then the sales manager pointed out that the two little rain guards on the rear wheel wells were also missing. Apparantly somebody is decking out their non-AMG SLK with the AMG goodies. What a bummer! Gonna cost me over $600. Parts have to come from Germany. Will take 7-10 days to arrive. Of course they scratched the paint too.

Keep your eyes open if you see a non 55 AMG car with a 55 bumper. Could be the criminal!

You would think owners of more expensive cars would not resort to such petty theft! I guess when you're a thief, you're a thief regardless of income.

 

Sorry Harry. People are just azzholes. Can you claim this as vandalism to your insurance? Alot of companies have the zero deductable on this. Check into it and good luck.
