Back in August, I ordered a SLK55 and waited to hear when it would be produced. In October, I got the call from my dealer telling me that my car was built and completed on October 13th. Two weeks ago, my dealer called and said my status was B7 and it would be on a ship November 3rd. Today I got a call and was told my car is now B5 and still has not be shipped? What is up with that?? Three ships have sailed for the Halifax port from Bremerhaven since October 13th and they can't get my car on any of them?

This is my first experience with MB as I have always been a BMW guy. This is not making me excited to deal with MB once my car does get here! Is this the type of service I can expect in the future?

I'm very sorry to hear that, all I can say is that the SLK55 IS worth the painful wait.

I ordered mine right at the very end of August, and took delivery November 1st. Just barely over 2 months.

Not too bad at all.

You'd be more frustrated if you ordered one in early July from the same Dealer and still don't have any build date.
