Floor Mats

My wife has had her SLK55 since early October. When I posted the pix I was told by the members here that I should go and ask the dealer for the AMG floormats that are to come with the car. (BTW Thanks for telling me I would have never known).

I have confirmed with MB of N.A. that indeed my car should have come with the AMG mats. The dealer (stealer?) states that the Mercedes mats are the ones that came with my car.

Any ideas besides again complaining to MB of NA?

Thanks again guys , love the site

I'm in the same boat; When I picked up my 55 in September, it had standard MB mats instead of SLK. The dealer didn't switch them out; that's just came in it from Germany.

The dealer was pretty useless when I complained about it. They weren't even able to find a part # to order.

When I called MBUSA, all they did was give me a part # to pass on to the dealer (# BQ 668 0624, from "racemart", whatever that is). I did so about three weeks ago, and have heard nothing more.

Please let me know if you make any more progress on this, and I'll do the same.

Oh, and as my petty revenge, I dinged the dealer for this on the MB customer survey.

I also received a set of Mercedes Benz mats as opposed to AMG mats when I took delivery of the E55. I ordered a set of OEM mats from a dealer in MD and got it in no time.

Point your dealer to here: http://www.mbusa.com/brand/container...5&class=06_SLK

Seating & Trim
  • AMG-designed sport seats with Silver-painted magnesium trim.
  • Eight-way power seats, each with three-position memory. Driver's seat memory includes steering column and outside mirror positions.
  • Heated seats.
  • AMG-designed two-tone Nappa leather upholstery.
  • AMG-designed leather-trimmed three-spoke sport steering wheel and shift knob.
  • AMG-designed aluminum trim on dash and console. Silver trim on doors.
  • Rubber-studded brushed stainless-steel pedals.
  • Stainless-steel door sill trim with AMG insignia.
  • Velour carpeting and exclusive AMG floor mats.

Then ask him we he can not deliver what is promised for such a simple item? And do let him know you will follow up (survey, call to Mgr, etc.). It is nothing but PURE laziness, unfortunately too many people work on the principle that if you ignore it, it will eventually go away.
