so what u r saying is that u need to drive on the track to know about cars?
how does that make sense?
i drive in the canyons faster than most people would ever dare to drive on a track. i get a kick from the whole "danger" element (cops, traffic, cliffs.....)
they dont have that at the track.
i comment on most posts cause i know most things[/QUOTE]

So what do you know about cars? You would be quite astounded at how different driving on a race track is from your twisty canyon roads. It is far easier, so I am sure you would be an immediate super star.

You certainly proved your point.....

The "danger" element is certainly one that defines great drivers from so so ones..... helps to keep your focus on driving.

Driving canyons faster than others "would ever dare" sounds like a great way to take your rightfull place on the 2006 Darwin podium.

I only hope that you don't take anyone else with you.

Unless all your skills are really developed video game style....... are you over or under 18?

Enjoy!

AMG 55 - Before you assume you are a better driver than most and canyon driving defines your ability,I suggest you take the time to see what track driving involves. It would behoove you to attend a racing school. There are many available in California. Skip Barber has 3 day schools at Laguna Seca. The experiance would only improve your abilities. Take it from someone who knows. btw, I know that SLK55er is/was a driving instructor.

This board is filled with too many immature individuals. I wish this site would run a IQ test before one joins the board. Thus eliminating those who just talk non-sense.

Yeah, I used to think that I was hot sh#t too when I was in my early 20's -- remember guys? Now that I'm well into my 40's I do all of my Racer-X driving on the track; and I realize that I was lucky that I didn't kill myself, the occasional passenger, or someone else in my early days.
Many times I had hope that there would be an age limit on this forum (and others) - but it just doesn't work that way - and probably shouldn't...so we still get the ill-informed, bragadoccio, and I'm rubber you're glue BS from time to time.....

This is not to say I/we don't believe you but you will do yourself a lot of favours if you post a few pictures of you brothers damaged GT3. A few pictures in the first place would have prevented a few of the above comments.

Of course the cynic in me now expects either no reply or that your brother is so annoyed at you that he won't let you take any pictures or your camera is broken......

If your story is for real then I hope you reported the SLR driver to the police for driving while using a hand held mobile phone, he will be done for driving without due care and attention which will help ensure there is nothing for you to worry about.

hmmm...its been 7 days and no response....hold on a second...what the heck....ewww...is that smell....a troll....

Joseph...pics please...

The Cayman is definitelly more of a driver's car. I mean it comes with a 6speed! The 55 on the other hand doesn't . For me having a 6speed is much more important... All depends what you're looking for.

I'm picking up a Cayman S for Europe. Completely different car than SLK55 though (apart from relative size and being a two-seater sports car).
And at the risk of being inflammatory - which I try not to be - I don't think that too many of us 'old farts' would even want to bother to wipe this kid's snotty nose....
My philosophy is to try to ignore all (of the many -- too many) BS punk posts/threads and focus on the positive, helpful, informative discussions. If we keep responding to the crap, we run the very real risk of this forum degenerating into mostly crap -- right?

This thread is a riot. SLR's crashing into GT3's. Overprivledged, dangerous, braindead children with no real experiance who assume they are talented drivers. "I'm into the danger element" Bahaahaa...Too fast too furious "dude". I wonder if you will think that way when you launch that CLK daddy bought you off a cliff and spend the rest of your life in a wheelchair. Funny and tragic all at the same time.
