iPod and Logic7

iPod and Logic7
I had the iPod kit installed a week ago -- and really like having the iPod functionality integrated into the car.
My question: maybe it's just me, but it seems that the Logic7 effect has diminished since having the iPod kit installed. Before installing the kit, there was a big difference in sound when I would switch from "normal" to "Logic7" mode -- now I really can't hear a difference, not only with the iPod but from all sources (CD, Sirius, FM, iPod). And, that great 3D spatial sense seems to have flattened out quite a bit.
Causes could be that the iPod integration software causes a bypass of a processor, that the iPod integration software includes an earlier Logic7 version, that my hearing is going bad, etc. Have others had this experience?
