What Color Is This?

amg&amg - perhaps you are giving too much credit to those sales guys... They are lucky to know what comes std on a car than to discern diff between fine shades of color. Then again, may be I've only met the incompetent ones..

Those look like the first marketing pictures. That is all some of us had to look at while we were waiting for our cars to come in. Alot of us bought our cars before the first one had been delivered to the US. I think its Iridium Silver (the most popular color), but looks kinda blue in some of the pics because of the lighting.
If you like a bluer silver, order Diamond. If you want the basic silver that everyone else seems to have, order Iridium.

I have posted this probably a half-dozen times...but I feel that it is worth posting again:
the only way you can really tell/know what a color is on a MBZ car is to go and see one on the ground, in daylight - period. I have found this to be true in choosing colors on dozens of purchased MBZ's over a period of many years....

Photos do not always display the exact color as you would see it in daylight.
But the diamond silver is indeed a slightly bluish haze, and that's as close as you can get to one in a photo. I've seen several diamond silver SLK's, and mine's Iridium silver, and I can differentiate the two.
It could be that the photos are Iridium due to the blue sky reflecting off the paint, but I've found Iridium to be a more silverish shiny color in broad day light. Not quite as reflective as Diamond.
