Thanks.

To each his own on the shift knob. I love it. It matches the steering wheel. I am getting a new shift boot - black alcantara with beige stitching - to match it next week. That will pull it together a lot.

Hahaha, wow, looks really nice. How fast is that thng now? High 11s for 1/4mi? 0-60 under 4.0?

Have you considered getting the chrome grille inserts for the front? I have them for my silver car, but I don't know if it'll go well with a red one...

Either way, your car looks amazing!! More pics please!!!

When did you take those pics? It's raining out, not sunny like that.

Thanks. I have considered the chrome grill or painting the grill red. I am still deliberating.

This puppy is incredibly fast! I have not had time to look at the paperwork or do any timing but it is just incredible - especially at high RPMS. It accesses the hp at a much lower RPM now.

These pictures were taken by BRABUS earlier today while the sun was out - for about an hour.

Thanks. I did not lower the car. They are Mono S Polished Light Alloy Wheels. The fitment is:

19 x 8.5 ET front
19 x 9.5 ET rear
Pirelli P-Zero Nero 225/35-19 front
Pirelli P-Zero Nero 255/30-19 rear

nice!
The rims flow well with the car. Clean and neat!
More photos of the interior upgrade?
And please tell us how the paddle shifter feels like compare to buttons.

Personally, I would add a little touch of smoke tail lights to your rear lights to make it more agressive and modified. Cos, reds blend in jussst a little too nicely.

Nicely done! Congrats!

Btw...I'm just wondering because I can't really see it from photos.
Is the air box in CF? I have mine in CF on SL 6.1 with red strips but different letters color, it looks awesome.

Can't wait to see more pictures!

Beautiful, classy car. Any complaints other than the additional time they took to complete the mods?

No complaints. Just look at that work. And you should feel the engine power. They got it up to 392 bhp, 533 Nm.

There is no doubt that BRABUS takes their time and it can be frustrating if you are impatient like me. Sometimes they let a dollar wait on a dime - the thing holding up my car for 3 days was the red sticker for the engine cover. But on the other hand, it means that everything has to be just right before they will release the car. I think a good rule of thumb is to take their ETA on all work and double it. As you saw from my previous posts, I let my excitement about the car turn into stress and I tried to push them. The attorney in me came out in a bad way. I had to admit my fault there. I really think that BRABUS does their best to get the work done.

BUT JUST LOOK AT THE QUALITY OF WORK. You can't argue with that.

I highly recommend BRABUS. Call Matt at BRABUS NA in Newport - he will hook you up.

Hey,

Just another thumbs way up! The car looks great. I'd like to see some pics of the steering wheel. That's a unique roll bar setup. I have never seen a mix like that. Congrats and keep the pics coming.

The steering wheel is probably my favorite cosmetic upgrade. The model I got is a BRABUS' newest and best model. I will take some closeup pics of it tomorrow and post.

The roll bar set up is a mixture of stainless steel and carbon fiber. It is the nicer of the two roll bar options. I like it a lot. It looks unique. Carlsson offers a roll bar and their are generic one's out their as well but nothing like the composite BRABUS.

Thanks for your praise and comments.

Wow... awesome looking car, what else is there to say except another big "WOW". 255/30, with that setup, you can complete the Brabus setup by getting some brabus springs, w/o rubbing. I still say you need to get those wheels in gunmetal. The mars red will look great with gunmetal color wheels, I've attach a pic of a Mars red SL with gunmetal. You should do it.

The mods look very good!

I have one question tho': the engine shot without the airbox shows red bits on the left and right. I don't remember them being that color on my car. Was this painted by the tuner who fitted the Brabus stuff? Is it just the original spark plug housing and stuff which is painted, or is this a new bolt on piece that comes in that color or what? Enquiring minds want to know please

Good question. This was the part that held up my entire car for 3 full days. They painted my engine cover opal black and added those red peices. This was a custom job. I went down and we discussed how we wanted it to look down to the engine cover, airbox and badging. It took 3 days to put all of this together. Then, they only had black B55 badges which looked terrible on the engine cover. So they custom ordered me some silver ones. Then those didn't look good either (quote "not up to BRABUS standards"). So they got the raised vinyl B55 sticker and put it on. I think it looks nice but I may have them order me a better B55 badge for the engine cover.

That was a good catch. Those red pieces are a custom job by the tuner.

Thanks for the nice comments.

Best of luck with your beautiful car! Can't go wrong getting the work done at BrabusNA Headquarters. You're lucky to live in the area. Can't wait to see more pics and some dyno printouts as well
