Door Pin Installation - Help

Call me stupid, but I'm having trouble replacing the door pins in my car. I received my pair of aluminum door pins from www.formymercedes.com, but they appear thinner than the door pins that are factory installed.

Does anyone know how to pull the factory door pins out? Man, I feel dumb.

dont pull...just unscrew them and then srew the new ones on! They may be a bit tight, if you dont want to ruin the original ones, use a cloth while grabbing them with some pliers!

Hmmm, do you mean twist? I don't see any place I can unscrew the actual pins. Do i need to be unscrewing the screws on the side of the door?

Just grab the pin and turn it ( lefty – loosy , righty – tighty ).

things to have:

1- WD-40 or any alternative

2- a dry cloth

first spray (wd 40 has a thin long plastic tube to be connected to the tip of the spray, to make spraying in tiny places easier to reach) around the old pin area ...

second use the dry cloth , to twist the old pin lefty and righty lefty and righty to make it loose then voila you pull it out....

p.s. turn the ignition on 2 .. and unlock..

this is a very easy , dumb , step by step illustration...

just my 0.2

It was even easier than that. I wrapped a towel around a set of pliers, and just twisted.
