oil filter location and special tool?

oil filter location and special tool?
Sorry for asking a probably an obvious question, but I can't seem to locate a thread to see where the oil filter is located in AMG.
I lifted up the lower engine cover but nothing jumps out at me and says I'm the engine filter!
I hit 5300 miles and I would like to do an oil change.
Could someone point it out to me please? A picture with an arrow would be even better. Plus, do I need a special tool to unscrew the oil filter? I remember someone saying I need a special tool.
I posted same question on another forum but no one seems to reply.
