AMG Factory Pics.....
Spent some time at the AMG Factory..
To start things off, the town was not too hard to find if A) You have Navigation and B) it is Mercedes Navigation which has Affalterbach in the menu.
My plane arrived around 11 am in Frankfurt and I got all my things into a little C180 or something like that. It was a diesel. The thing would not go past 200 or 210 kph. I arrived in Affalterbach shortly after that and once there even the town people can tell you where the factory is. Not too hard to find.
I was greeted immediatly when I walked in and shortly after the meet and greet the tour had started. The only bad thing I can say about the tour is the fact that they did not let me take pics anywhere but the showroom.
In the building where the engine's were being made, I was only allowed on the 2nd floor -- this is where the V12's and SLR engine's were being made. I asked to see the bottom floor but they were too busy doing a not-so-secret project - the 6.3. I can go on about how amazing this building is in the inside and just how clean it is; one would never guess engine's were being built there.
Going on to the next building, where customer cars were being customized. A very sick line up of cars but the most interesting cars I saw consisted of a pink CLS55, SLK55 with carbon roof, a fully stripped red SLR and a few CLK DTM's. One SLK55 had a full leather interior, dash, doors, everything. Looked amazing, I was begging my tour guide to take pics.
Many of you want to just look at the pics, hopefully these wont disappoint. Also, while in Sarajevo I ended up buying a Audi A3... fun car!
