I drove from Akron, OH to Jacksonville, FL (Actually Ponte Vedre Beach). Stated the trip with a full tank.
Did it on 4 stints:
All notes from car computer

Day#1
1) fron Akron (mile 0 to #336) = stoped for rest/gas/food
Time = 4:14 min
Average speed 79MPH
20.3 MPG
$46 gas (put in 16.033 gal) 93 oct

2) From mile 336 to # 500mile = stoped at a friends house at Charlotte, NC and to rest for the day
Total driving time for the day= 6:29 min
Average speed = 77MPH
21.2 MPG (for the day...all 500 miles)

Day#2
3) From NC to mile 205 = stoped because I was bored and needed gas so I eat also and put gas
Time = 2:42 min
Average speed = 76MPH
23.2 MPG
Gas= $49.01 (16.343 gal) 93 oct

4) from mile 201 to mile 401
Total driving time for the day = 5:13 min
Average speed = 77MPH
22.5 MPG (for the day...all 400 miles)

Very comfortable, no complaits. Did noticed that the A/C seems to turn off the compressor (at least I think so, because you noticed the change in temprature) for about 15-30 seconds every 25-35 min (I think). It didn't bother me but it was noted so maybe there is something wrong.

Not bad!! I think!!

Comments?

Thanks

A/C was defrosting
The evaporator can become a chunk of ice undefrosted, esp in humid conditions.

When the low side pressure gets low enough, extremely cold temperatures on the evaporator are the culprit, so the low-pressure cutout disables the A/C until the evaporator warms enough to cycle the system back on.

The tank capacity is 70 liters.

If you drive very calmly, you can get fuel consumption down to around 8.8l/100km. I actually did just over 800km's on a tankful of gas (and still had a liter or two leftover) when I drove across Europe this summer.

So that's 18.49 gallons....so in theory I could have gone about 45 miles more without stopping

So what you are saying is that is normal/expected.....right?

I got 8.2l/100KM on my last trip.
