Question Ride with 030 Package

I am considering a new SLK with the 030 Package. How does the ride compare with a SL55 or a M3 or 996? Does the 030 package make the ride much harder than the SLK55 without?

TIA

For me, the SLK55's ride is hard enough as it is. I love the car, but making the ride any harder might actually start to kill some of the enjoyment.

not to bad

I drove a normal SLK55 and a SLK55 030 back to back and the 030 is definitely stiffer. But I also like the additional sportiness of the tuned suspension and don't feel its too much for everyday driving.

I drive my 030 everyday and its rare when I'm *****ing about the road.

Certain areas of highway 101 though ...

I own an SLK55 and recently drove the 030 version at the AMG Challenge, i think the 030 package is not to stiff compared to the base SLK55. Living in Chicago (where the roads s*ck) I think the 030 would be harsh up to 25% of the time. Depending how the roads are where you live I think it would be fine as a daily driver. Why not test both and let your own feelings decide. Of course the 030 package offers more than a stiffer suspension, I wish I would have waited for one myself!! Good luck, in either case you cannot go wrong.

This is a matter of preference.
However, considering all of the other equipment that comes with the performance package, in hindsight, I would have definately gotten it.
The ride is not that much stiffer then the standard model, and you get the ability access even great levels of performance from the car.
Best of luck with your choice and your new SLK.

I don't think the ride is bad at all, the car should be stiff. Not breaking turning corners is a blast . On Florida roads I don't think you'll have any problems, I have no problems on CA roads, I"ve never once thought the car too stiff. Chicago, I could understand a little apprehension.
