Exhaust/Mufflers
Anybody know of a brutal exhaust system (muffler) for SLK55s? My buddy has a 2006 S4 and installed some kind of Milltek exhaust - it sounds beastly...
appreciate the help!

no need to change mufflers...
take out the primary and secondary cats, and remove the resenator... called a straight pipe
you got 10 beasts right there... your V8 with this straight pipe will scare the shît out of the honda
costs you a few hundred bucks...
unless you want to go the a little cheaper and have a ricer exhaust note.

Green filters
I received a response from green filters today stating that they do not make a filter for 06' SLK55. If anyone out there has used green filters in their 06' SLK55, I need a part number. Does the SLK55 use same filter as C55?

you can take out the cat but that might trigger the check engine light.
i would remove the resonator and straight pipe the rest (no mufflers) if you really want it to sound beastly.
otherwise remove the resonator and get some smaller aftermarket mufflers (i used rbtech AKA sebring) to use w/ your stock tips.
much cheaper than eisenmann

Just fyi...I emailed SuperSprint and the rep said to expect information on their SLK55 system within a few weeks. I had an E46 M3 with both the Eisenmann and the SuperSprint systems and I preferred the sound of my SS hands down...might be something to wait for.

their mufflers are rebadged sebring mufflers. might as well get some sebrings theyre cheaper.
this is what my car sounded like w/ the sebring muffler, much like stock but louder and it had more of that woof at low speed
