Help removing door lock pins
I just purchased some chrome door lock pins for my new SLK55. How do you remove the stock ones? Do they just unscrew? I tried that but they dont budge. I dont want to force them and end up breaking something.
Also, regarding the nav system, on my Infiniti G35, if I had the map displayed without activating any route guidance, it would always show me the name of the street I was driving on along the bottom of the screen. On the SLK, I just see the map, but not my current street. Is there a setting that I'm missing that will enable this?
Please advise.

chris,
fold a piece of napkin and wrap it around the door pin, use a plier to unscrew the door pin so you won't break it or scratch it

Thanks ! Now can anyone help with the Navi question ? Ive searched and I have spent many hours playing with my Navi trying to figure it out with no luck. Can anyone just advise if they are just driving around without route guidance, just the map display, is their current street displayed at the bottom of the screen?

Chris,
My personal opinion...
The Nav is the single biggest opportunity in this and other MB cars. Weak. By the way, I have Nav in mine too but I prefer the Garmin 340 that I bought for $350 and use in my Camry for work. It has better graphics. It's more intuitive and has many more features. I hope MB figures this out some day.

I totally agree.... My wife's 2005 Honda Odyssey has an awesome Nav system as did my previous Infiniti G35 Coupe. This MB system seems like its from the stone age ... Yabba Dabba Doo !
