My friend bought SLK200 with FULL 55 AMG kit ..

ummm .. looks like my SLK, But my car engine is X2 his car engine ..

what do you think ..

It looks like the whole license plate could fit into a fog lamp opening.

The front flank looks much cleaner without the vent.

Oh nice.

Is that all I need if I get a cheaker SLK 280 instead of a SLK 55.

I like the front side vent bumper, and the 4 exhausts. Is this AMG kit available throught he dealers?

Oh, hmm, what about the interior? I'd like the two-tone leather but it is not available in SLK 280 or SLK 350.

Are those standard wheels? I like the 10 spoke wheels.

First your bro needs to loose the 55 badge.... Total poser in my opinion. The car looks amazing.. dont get me wrong but no respect for posers... He needs to also loose those what it loose like V8 badges and stick on vents... totally tacky... Any AMG owner can tell that the SLK is not an AMG... it doesn't look like it has the AMG brakes.... other wise sweet looking car....

Looking for a new toy.
Using the body kit is one thing, no problem with that. But, as mentioned, to use fake badges....well that just screams "fake" - the car is neither an SLK55 nor an AMG of any kind. He'd better be prepared to put up with lots of "poseur" jibes.

The car looks good, but why stop at V8 Kompressor badges? Go for the V12 Biturbo!



Kidding, you need to lose the false badging. Just remove them all for a clean look

True for the US, but not for ROW vehicles, which are not subject to the plethora of arbitrary restrictions imposed by MBUSA.

There has been much debate about whether a car equipped with MB AMG styling can use the AMG badge, but...

Did your "friend" really badge it as an SLK55!!! and then put those tacky side vents with a V8 Kompressor badge!!!!

What in the heck for, just so he can look stupid being pulled by a large number of cars at any light?

Seriously, besides looking stupid, he'll make you look stupid, as you'll have half of Abu Dhabi BMW and Porche drivers thinking they can blow the doors off of an SLK55.

They look nice, but I too object to the AMG badge. Mercedes really shouldn't offer the same kit for a regular SLK either, kills the exclusivity.

The cost of adding AMG exhausts and kit would have made it possible for him to buy a real 55...

That would be a negative... the V8 badging and 55 badging would have a better chance of that car making the same sound!
