Spent a couple of hours installing my own Ipod kit today. I just can't justify the crazy prices the stealers are charging to install their kit. For now I will just have to navigate my playlists from the center console. I purchased a cable from ebay and the installation was a breeze. I have attached a photo and a link to the cable for anyone who may be interested.

The install was really easy. The hardest part was routing the Ipod connector into the center console. After that, it was just a matter of routing the cables under the center console to the glove box. Its a great low cost solution. Also, using this cable, the Ipod turns off automatically when the ignition is switched off.

but than, where did you get the power source out of?
i know your link from ebay only gets power out of cigaratte light.
since our slk ONLY have one cig. light, did you just plug one there? or did you bought a cig. lighter aftermarket and hid it under the center console too?

There are actually two cig lighter plugs in the SLK. One in the center dash console and the other on the left side of the passenger footwell. You can plug the harness into that one, or cut off the plug and hard wire it to any 12V power source. Unfortunately I do not have any install pics, only the finished product.
