This one is better. SLK55 Black Series hanging with Porsche's raced up 911 GT3 RS on an F1 track (French Grand Prix = Francorchamps). The SLK did pretty well (the black series has the Nurburgring suspension, 45 Hp more, & about 180 lbs less than a stock SLK55...not much....& its hangin' with a 911 GT3 RS.

310kph may be a top speed on a dyno, but wind drag will bring it down to less then 300kph (I would think).

Interesting vid the second one, but to me it seems like the one driving the SLK was braking WAY too early, and not hard enough. ABS was definitely not kicking in, no smoke or anything... He could have taken a few of those turns without braking through them (baaaad idea... you can't get power down correctly doing this, a little throttle could take him through it just fine).

The guy driving the BMW was doing it the correct way, braking late, taking the turns agressively.

Shinigami, I reached 308kmh with a derestricted SLK55 and a few mods;unfortunatley there wasnt plenty of road ahead and I was approaching traffic quickly.

I think it is capable of 2-5kmh extra but I dont know maybe it needs headers or an S/C to reach 315kmh and above or even different tyres.

Nothing the less, that video is pretty impressive even exceeding 300kmh.

The 55 in the dynovid doesn't go all the way to redline on the 7th gear, so hey, it might even go 315 or 320kph

However, at speeds above 100kph, you're still going 1-3% slower then the speed indicated, so if you were going 308kph, you might have been going closer to 300 (the wheels might be spinning the speed indicated by the speedometer, but drag will still keep you back a little. All tires in a car turn at a different speed, with those at the front sometimes going up to 5% slower then the rear wheels in a RWD vehicle).

But still, it's a 300kph car
