COMMAND Conversion to German?

Well, I have officially left Boston after graduating and couldn't leave my SLK behind - so i shipped it over. nothing had to be changed except for the mph gauge and the navigation system. they said they can't really do a lot and have to find a way to reprogramm it. does anyone know who could do this?

cheers,
Nishi

Oh Well

NEVERMIND...

I decided to sell the entire command system and the 6-disc changer. It would cost me 3,000 EUR to replace it with a GERMAN Command system. What do you think is a good price to sell the US DVD COMMAND + 6-disc changer?

I'm looking into replacing it with a Pioneer DVD Command system. Looks nicer, too.

Just recode the Audio Gateway to Europe. Should work just fine.

............just buy a Euro comand from Ebay and swap it yourself. It is pretty simple. Totally plug and play and no wire splicing. The only tool you need is a radio puller which you can get from your dealer for $15.

.........If I were you, I will drive the car in Germany with the appropriate nav disc. It might be all you need. Many in USA swap their USA comands with Euro versions for TV and DVD functionality. The Nav portion requires no changes.

When I took advantage of European Delivery and picked up mine in Stuttgart, they had a European disk in the unit to help on the Black Forest Rally. I had to return it when the car was dropped off to be shipped back to the states. Are you just wanting the maps, or have it give commands in German?
