Went to the local dragstrip today with some friends from the f-body club, hoping for good results with the new RE-01R tires as my Pirelli's were shot last time out.

Well managed consistent low 1.9 60's and dropped over a tenth off my previous best of 12.84, clicking off a couple 12.80's then finally a 12.78 and backed it up with a 12.72 - oh so close to a 12.6 which I know is in the car yet as it sits.

The RE-01's are amazing, I was actually BOGGING off the line (that was never a problem before *L*...it'd just spin spin spin) with foot to the floor. If I'd been able to get in a few more runs playing with bringing up the launch rpms instead of just flooring it from idle, I'd have had 1.8 sixties and 12.6s for sure. Ah well, next time! But I'm a happy camper anyway setting a new PB with the car and spending a great day with some fellow car nuts.

Who are the manufacturers for those tyres?, My next set are either Goodyear, Bridgestone or Michelin Ps2's.
