Mods4Cars Unlock DVD/Command While Driving...

I was wondering if this system by Mods4Cars affects in any way the navigation system. A thread on another slk forum suggested that this mod works by not relaying speed measurements to the Command system and therefore, can affect the gps in some way...

Any info would be great
