smoke in engine bay

I was on vacation for the past 2 months. After I came back, obviously, the battery was dead. So i replaced the battery with my spare one. While the car was running, i started to see a little smoke coming up from the right of the heat shield that is next to the positive terminal. When i looked, i could see the headers. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

20+ to list......
It could be fluid that was dripped onto the heatshield and the smoke is becuase of it heating up. Did you or the delaership do any fluid change before the trip?

nope, no fluid changes before the trip. I am going to check it out again and see if smoke is still coming out.

Update

UPDATE: After a couple of days, there is no smoke in the SLK. but a strange thing happened to my R500 today. After pulling the car out of the garage, I left it running while i was checking and putting air in the tires. And the same thing that happened with the SLK happened to the R. Smoke smelling like burning rubber coming from the similar area as it was in the SLK. The only things that the 2 cars have in common is both of their 'C' Services have come due while I was away. Also, both of them were in the garage for the 2-month period. Could any of these be an issue?
