Well, it's a natural move by BMW to upgrade the M coupe/roadster to the new M3's stat, because with its old engine (330hp), it can't even rival a 335i with an air fiter and chip. Although I agree it's kind of sad that MB does not bump the hp & tq on the SLK55, but Kleemann has it covered, so I don't see the new M3s as a threat. 
BTW, I was disappointed that MB did not display a fully loaded SLK55 at the show but a base model.

Thats what got me......i think given the release of the c63 and sl63 later on in the year a cosmetic was probably enough....too many models coming out would probably dilute sales. I was dying for the 63 to come in the SLK....
