Cat question

I was thinking about removing the secondary cat on my car just for a little while to see what it sounds like and have a little fun! But I do not want to harm the car in anyway. Will the engine light come on if I do this also am I in risk of dmaging the vehicle in anyway?

Thanks,
CJ

What you should do is replace the primary cats with kleemann/renntech headers and then replace the secondary cats with kleemann sport cats. I believe the 02 sensors are located in the secondary cats and would have to be relocated or you would get a CEL.

20+ to list......
I would guess you should be fine removing the secondary cats with straight pipes, but I'm not 100% sure since I don't have my car yet. Check to see if there are any sensors located behind the second cats, if no, you should be good to go.

Is the Kleemann secondary catalytics necessary, I have the Kleemann primary cats installed and I am awaiting their headers which is soon to arrive ( transit ) and I've talked to C2D who didnt mention the secondary till the last few days.

Now what I am saying is that would the switch from oem secondary to kleemann cats worth the price on a car with nearly all of the basic modifications.

Kleemann headers replace primary cats. Maybe you can move their primary cats to secondary cats, I'm 90% sure they are the same.
