2009 SLK55 Exhaust Video
Here's a short video of my SLK with K&N filters, secondary cats, & resonator removed, which were replaced by straight & x-pipe. Hope you like it.

Sounds good. However, it's really hard to tell just how good it sounds as the car won't let you rev too high. I'd love to hear another clip at WOT with the car in motion.
BTW, do you think you'll have any problems passing a smog check without those cats? What are the advantages? I might decide to do the same.

Thanks. I don't know how to get a recording of the car in WOT, I used my wife's old digital camara to take the video, but I can probably set it aside on the road and I can do some WOT drive-by's.
I don't think I will have any problem passing smog, as visual inspection is not enforced in NYC and I have a shop I know which passes my cars all the time. The advantage of removing the second pair of cats is to increase the exhaust scavanging efficiency, same thoery behind swapping out paper air filters to high flow units.
